Welcome to The Wagon Box. You are on twenty acres in Story, Wyoming, with Spring Creek running through the middle of it and the Bighorns up the road.
The map above shows where everything sits: your lodging, the bathhouse, the restaurant, parking, and the creek. Below is what you need for the rest of your stay. If something is not covered here, call or text us.
Campground bathrooms are located on the north side of the reddish-brown building in the center of the campground (see map).
We offer WiFi throughout the property, including in the campground. Access the WiFi with the password wagonbox (all lowercase).
Fire ban in effect
We are currently under a fire ban in Sheridan County, which means that guests may not have personal fires at their sites. We offer a communal fire pit in the campground which complies with local regulations. Once the fire ban is lifted, we will update this page.
Campground. The campground offers a communal fire pit in the field. Wood is stacked nearby for you to use.
Cabins. Find wood in a box on your porch. If you need more, you can find wood stacked in the black lean-to behind the restaurant.
Lodge. Wood is stacked behind the Roosevelt Suite, and near the shop across the parking lot. If you have any questions, please contact the lodging manager.
The village of Story keeps a good list of what is worth doing nearby: trailheads, fishing, and the drive up into the Bighorns.
